ONGI
From broad wellness to one clear point of view.
ONGI began with a shared interest in wellness, shaped by cultural knowledge, lived experience and a deeper understanding of traditional East Asian approaches to wellbeing. But the opportunity was broad — knowledge, rituals, food, products and content could all become part of the business. We stepped back to define what ONGI could meaningfully stand for in an already crowded wellness market.
Commercial Planning · Brand & Content Direction
Many possibilities.
No clear centre.
ONGI had the potential to explore traditional knowledge, everyday rituals, nourishment, products and educational content. Each direction made sense individually. Together, without a strong point of view, they risked becoming another broad wellness offering.
What should hold it all together?
Following wellness trends wasn't the answer. Returning to what mattered was.
We looked beyond what the wellness category was currently chasing and returned to the knowledge, traditions and everyday practices already sitting at the heart of ONGI.
A clearer point of view began to emerge:
Wellbeing is not something to chase.
It is something to return to.
A clearer point of view changed the business.
Positioning
A clearer place for ONGI within a crowded wellness category.
Products
A framework for developing products that belong within the ONGI philosophy.
Content
Defined territories for what the brand should explore and communicate.
Brand
A visual and verbal identity shaped around a gentler approach to wellness.
Launch
A more intentional way to introduce ONGI through ideas, rituals and experiences — not simply products.
Shaping the ONGI Experience
Once ONGI's point of view became clearer, it needed a structure that could guide how the brand showed up — from the stories it told to the experiences and products it created.
Four core content territories helped give the brand structure:
Food, ingredients and traditions as part of everyday wellbeing.
Nourishment
Everyday practices that bring intention back into daily life.
Body Wisdom
Creating space to notice, slow down and reconnect.
Rituals
Ideas that invite people to think differently about modern wellness.
Perspective
Bringing the Philosophy to Life
ONGI's point of view became a filter for the decisions that followed — shaping its identity, content, digital presence, products and launch experiences. Rather than treating each touchpoint separately, they were developed as expressions of the same idea: a gentler way of returning to wellbeing.
From broad wellness to
one clearer way forward
ONGI moved from a broad wellness proposition towards a clearer point of view — one capable of guiding its content, products, identity and experiences as the business grows.
